Not all heroes wear capes: co-workers nominated for Local Hero Awards!

Some of our fabulous co-workers were nominated for the Playford Local Hero Awards!

The Playford Local Hero Awards ceremony was held on October 18th right here at Stretton!

The awards saw some of Playford’s most outstanding residents, organisations, and businesses recognised for their contribution to the community. We’re happy to report that some of our co-workers were nominated!

Ben Builder and Tim Comley of BT Group with City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty at the ceremony.

Nominees are leaders in the community, leading the way to positive change. The awards also recognise those who have overcome personal hardship to succeed.

Former co-workers Ben Builder and Tim Comley of BT Group were nominated for the Business Award. Their positive impact on Playford includes job creation, installation of infrastructure and also being great representatives of the North’s growing entrepreneurial community. They were named as the runner-up for the award!

Paul Rosenzweig of Your Biography Writer was also nominated, but for the Positive Playford Award. The nomination recognises his advocacy of the North and the inspiring example he sets for the community. Paul also came in as the runner-up.

Recipients of the Playford Alive Initiatives Fund were also announced at the event. This saw over $16,000 awarded to three local community organisations: YMCA of SA, Playford Uniting Church and Northern Communities of Hope Youth.

These groups will use the funding to make a difference in the community with events, programs and services.

This is just another reason for us to be super proud of the awesome people we get to work with everyday. We hope to see more of our local business leaders recognised for their achievements in the years to come!
