Northern Entrepreneur Growth Program


The Northern Entrepreneur Growth Program (NEGP) is an initiative of the State Government under the Northern Economic Plan and is being delivered through the Stretton Centre in partnership with the Gawler Business Development Group and Business SA.

The NEGP consists of 6 initiatives designed to cater for a range of small businesses and those entrepreneurs who wish to establish a new business in the postcode areas of 5115, 5116 and 5118. The objective of the NEGP is to accelerate the growth of entrepreneurs, businesses and jobs in the greater Gawler region.

Home to Curated Office- Stretton Centre
Are you a home based business located in 5115, 5116 or 5118 and looking to grow? The Home to Curated Office Environment initiative provides home based business with the opportunity to operate their business from the Stretton Centre’s curated co-working office floor. Successful applicants, in addition to receiving one on one business mentoring, will benefit from working alongside and learning from other small businesses.

Northern Entrepreneur Scheme- Business SA

Based on the successful South Australian Young Entrepreneur Scheme model, the Northern Entrepreneur Scheme (NES) will assist eligible participants aged 18 and above to explore a business idea and develop the skills and confidence to implement this. Over a period of 12 months participants will attend interactive workshops and access one on one mentoring.

Northern Business Coaching- Business SA

Even the most savvy business owner can do with a little guidance from time to time. Let’s be honest, the more minds wrapped around your concept, the more ideas and resources will become available to grow and develop your business.

The interactive sessions are designed for businesses to share and collectively overcome obstacles facing small business such as: leadership, finance, marketing, sales management and business planning.

Profit Improvement for Existing Businesses- The Gawler Business Development Group

Profit Improvement for Existing Businesses helps participants build on their current level of business knowledge and skills to support increased growth, profitability and employment.

The program includes access to the program facilitator, Chartered Accountant Philip Arnfield. It also includes unlimited access to business tools, progress measuring tools, and one on one coaching/mentoring each month.

Business Fundamentals for Start Ups provides new startup ventures with the information and assistance that is required to operate a successful enterprise.

Business Fundamentals for Start Ups workshops are facilitated by business advisors/coaches and TAA Certificate IV Qualified Business Trainers experienced in all facets of Business and Micro Business Operations.
