The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Business Support Program Pilot supported local businesses to navigate the challenges faced by new, small to medium enterprises entering the disability market and is the first of its kind in South Australia.
20 local businesses participated in the ten month program which included fortnightly workshops covering business planning, finance, marketing and human resources, while receiving one-on-one mentoring that addressed their specific business requirements.
Over the course of the program participating businesses saw a combined increase in 75 new jobs created and an increase in 220 new clients.
The Stretton Connect: NDIS Business Support Program was funded by the Government of South Australia’s Department for Innovation and Skills and delivered by the Stretton Centre in collaboration with the National Disability Services.
