Mingle Co. is bringing together Adelaide's neurodivergent women in business, leadership and advocacy for a unique networking event designed to celebrate strengths, foster meaningful connections and empower attendees to thrive professionally and personally.

Hosted at the Stretton Centre on Tuesday 28 July, the Neurodivergent Women in Business Networking Event will provide a welcoming, sensory-friendly environment where women can connect with like-minded professionals, entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners and community advocates.

Founded by Vee Abarzua, Mingle Co. combines her passion for creating events and her background supporting the neurodivergent community, offering spaces and experiences where attendees feel safe, supported and valued. Introduced in 2025, the networking events are carefully designed to balance learning, participation and networking, offering attendees opportunities to share experiences, build professional relationships and discover practical strategies to support their personal and business goals, in a comfortable and inclusive atmosphere.

“This is not just a networking event,” said Vee, “it's also a space to be yourself and find your tribe".

The highlight of the upcoming event will be a presentation by Geraldine Fuenmayor, titled: ‘Fueling Focus: How Nutrition Impacts the Neurodivergent Brain’, which will explore how nutrition and lifestyle habits can influence focus, energy, mood and emotional regulation for neurodivergent individuals. Designed to be practical, accessible and relevant to everyday life, the workshop will cover the connection between nutrition and the neurodivergent brain and build an understanding the relationship between the gut, the brain and food. Other topics covered include monitoring blood sugar levels, practical meal ideas and simple dietary changes that may support wellbeing and uncovering realistic strategies for people with selective eating patterns or sensory sensitivities.

Geraldine is a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, Functional Medicine Health Coach and health promotion professional with qualifications in Primary Health and Wellbeing. Through her work with private clients and organisations including Jigsaw Australia, GOGO Foundation and MEGT Foundation, she supports women, people with disabilities and carers to develop practical strategies for wellbeing, confidence and sustainable behaviour change. Displaying a clear passion for supporting others, Geraldine’s role is about making published health information accessible, practical and relevant to everyday life.

“One of the things I love most about my work is helping people connect the dots between what they eat, how they live, and how they feel,” said Geraldine, “That understanding can bring clarity and help people make practical changes that fit their preferences and real-life circumstances.”

Vee and Geraldine met through mutual connections and found that they’re combined passions would make for a very informative event for neurodivergent women who are considering starting a business and need advice on staying healthy in mind and body.

By combining education, connection and inclusion, the Neurodivergent Women in Business Networking Event promises to be an inspiring and empowering experience for Adelaide's neurodivergent community. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards, flyers and promotional materials to share with fellow participants.
