The National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) is a national entity whose vision is “to influence policy and investment at Federal level so communities and businesses in Australia’s fastest growing outer suburbs have the infrastructure they need for equitable access to jobs, services and markets.”

The City of Playford is one such region, leading population growth for South Australia with over 96,000 people currently living in Playford, which is anticipated to grow to over 130,000 by 2036.

The City of Playford has a strong presence at the decision-making level of the NGAA. Mayor Glenn Docherty is the Chairperson of the NGAA and Phil Harrison, Advocacy Specialist based at the Stretton Centre, is a member of the Executive Committee.

The NGAA also works with industry and other stakeholders to advocate for residents to get the infrastructure and services they require and deserve.
