It is safe to say that Tony Ceapa has settled into his co-working space at the Stretton Centre after recently moving into the building.

With a background as a safety auditor and inspector, Tony has been working for the Keep It Simple Group (KIS Group) for five years, now as their Group Business Development Manager and worked at various locations across Australia including Townsville where they are based. The group provide integrated management systems and solutions to help businesses manage all aspects of safety in their business.

‘We really specialise in helping small to medium businesses manage safety, compliance, risk management with a focus on integrating this within whatever systems they are currently using, to help simplify the process. As it can often be daunting for people or business to implement a whole new software or system,’ said Tony.

After the COVID pandemic struck and the nature of his work meant he could work more remotely, Tony settled in Adelaide after previous holidays convinced him it would be a good place to move.

“I worked in Townsville for a year. I loved the weather up there but there was not as much culture unlike in Adelaide,’ said Tony, ‘We used to come from Mildura to Adelaide as a holiday and just loved the place and we ended up settling in at Andrew’s Farm.’

With the family moved into Andrew’s Farm, it was time to find an office space and the Stretton Centre was an obvious choice for him. Tony was placed on the waiting list for an office space at Stretton and in the meantime was recommended the Virginia Horticulture Centre by staff which is where he ended up working for a year before his recent shift.

‘I liked the VHC, but Stretton is just that little bit closer again to home!’

The advantages of co-working at venues like the Stretton Centre are very apparent to Tony and he would recommend any startup or new small business consider the venue’s co-working spaces.

‘I have tried working from home but it just impossible the kids and other distractions! But moving and being new to Adelaide, co-working at the VHC helped introduce me to new people and other businesses,’ said Tony.

‘I think any startup would benefit from being here just for the various programs and support mechanisms in place just for a start. Plus, there is also the opportunity to network with other smaller businesses and the facilities are great.”
